Is the vitamin D in your almond milk derived from plants or animals? (Some vitamin D comes from sheep / lanolin.)

Is the sugar you use (in the sweetened version, as well as in the production of gellan gum) produced in South Africa? Some overseas sugar brands use bone char for the sugar manufacturing process, which would obviously make it unsuitable for vegans.
